The Filene Center is Wolf Trap’s idyllic outdoor amphitheater, hosting dozens of performances each summer, with a capacity of just over 7,000 guests. It offers in-house seating on two levels. Accessible aisles and recent elevator renovations ensure a pleasant experience across sections. Beyond the covered seating area is a sprawling lawn with general admission seating.
The Barns at Wolf Trap
The Barns at Wolf Trap is a charming indoor venue housed in two beautifully restored 18th-century barns. With 382 seats, The Barns hosts Wolf Trap’s celebrated Chamber Music at The Barns series, icons and emerging artists across genres, and Wolf Trap Opera in the summer. The venue’s renowned acoustics deliver a warm, close-up experience, making it a uniquely cozy and enjoyable experience.
Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods
Across the Meadow and tucked in the woods, Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods is a general admission outdoor venue ideal for families and young audiences. It hosts dozens of shows from late June to early August.
With 700 general admission seats arranged on benches, it features an open-air stage, accessible pathways, and shaded vantage points. This format creates an immersive, magical theater experience that provokes children’s imagination and encourages participation.
